Pascale Smets Share

Pascale Smets graduated as a veterinarian from Ghent University in 2006. She followed an internship in small animal medicine. She started a PhD in Internal Medicine on renal function in dogs with Cushing’s syndrome. Her interest went to Cardiology and after her PhD in 2011, she started a residency at the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ECVIM), Cardiology. She worked 1 year in Internal Medicine, UGent, and 2.5 years in Cardiology in Munich and Zurich. In 2015, she became Dipl. ECVIM-ca Cardiology. Since October 2016, she has been working as Head of Department of Cardiology and was appointed as Professor of Cardiology.
