Due to the SARS-CoV-2 outbreak, the ECVIM congress organizing committee has made the difficult decision to cancel the traditional format of the ECVIM-CA Congress, planned to take place in Barcelona, and make the 30th ECVIM-CA Congress online.

The committee, however, has been busy discussing digital formats for the congress. The details of the digital format will be further fine-tuned in the next couple of days. The online congress will take place from Wednesday 2 – Saturday 5 September 2020.

This congress is a very well-known event on the veterinary internal medicine calendar. The program has streams of lectures organized by special interest societies, such as comparative gastroenterology, hepatology, nephrology and urology, oncology, internalmedicine, cardiology and feline medicine. There are also oral abstract sessions, again organized by the specialist societies, and poster exhibits of abstracts. In 2019 there were 103 abstracts accepted as oral presentation and 124 as poster presentation. The congress will also inform specialists how scientific research is evolving and offer insights into future developments.
